Strategy Realisation

Businesses often invest significant time and effort into the formulation of strategies that end up being put in the bottom draw typically only revisited once the annual planning cycle prompts the need for next year's strategy. Performance Optimisation

One of the foundations to monitoring business performance is to have a clearly defined and articulated "current state". Many organisations attempt to deliver improvements in the way they provide value to their customers without properly understanding their current position. Inevitably, this leads to missed opportunities as underlying causes often go unnoticed with businesses expending considerable energy on treating symptoms. Using the output of performance indicators from your key business processes we work with you to conduct a "Health Check" designed to highlight any pain points. Armed with this information we are able to provide an assessment of the value proposition and return on investment associated with tackling any identified areas of concern.

Acline Solutions work with your business to develop a strong understanding of your "current state" which can then be used to build a highly informed view about your aspirational or "future state". We also work with you to develop a road map for success by:

  • process mapping "current state"
  • testing against strategies
  • developing "to be" processes - including constructing appropriate and reliable performance indicators

Project Management


We are firm believers in the merit of employing the rigour that comes with project management discipline across all aspects of your business. Typically, the application of project management is restricted to change initiatives. Acline Solutions have developed a framework that enables the transfer of the attributes of project management into your day to day operating environment. This allows you to view your business activities as parcels with predefined start and end points rather then running them as a stream of continuous activity. These parcels contain deliverables that occur over project phases allowing the formation of milestones (ie. logical review points) so that performance against targets can be assessed and stop/go decisions made. This ensures that you optimise the investment of resource and systematically validate alignment with strategy.

Our practitioners are formally qualified under the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) methodology.

Change Integration

Businesses are constantly undergoing change. An organisation's ability to deal with change is critical to its success. While many organisations are highly capable in determining future direction and establishing plans to achieve their goals, all too often these change initiatives fail. There are many reasons for these failures however, they typically all have some common characteristics, examples include:

  • Poor sponsorship
  • Under investment of resources - mismatch between desired solution and appetite for expenditure
  • Inability to articulate the benefits or value proposition
  • Underestimated complexity and change impact
  • Poor scope definition or failure to mitigate "scope creep"
  • Inability to obtain "buy in" from key stakeholders

While many organisations already have project management methodologies in place that provide degrees of governance, structure and transparency they continue to fall short of expectations (particularly those presented in Investment Submissions). We have seen many examples of projects having delivered the "product" they set out to produce (in accordance   with project management methodology) to see it end up "on the shelf". Acline Solutions have developed a diagnostic for assessing project health at any point in their life cycle and techniques and tools designed to avoid the usual pit falls and ensure a strong transition from the completion of a project to fully operationalising the change.
